Heartwrenching "Money No Enough 2"

51th Merdeka... It is meaningless to such a non-patriotic citizen like me~ It is just another holiday for me to be away from home and enjoy with my buddies~ Was thinking to have fun at Sg Wang but due to transportation problems, we decided to go for a movie, Money Not Enough 2, at Mid Valley~ I was told that it is a comedy but to me it is more tragedy~ Personally I don't find the story outline interesting but the casting made me had 2 hours of emotional roller coaster ride~ The three brothers were not my main focus during that movie but the mother~ Kudos for her great acting! There were several touching scenes with the song entitled 'Mother' in the show. It is very touching~ (When I say sad, I really meant it!)

Basically, this show is reflecting what is happening in our poor society nowadays. In that show, it showed how the mother sacrificed her everything to take care of her children when they were young and fragile. What disappointed me was the calculative behavior of the three brats in taking care of their mother who suffers from Alzheimer's disease in her advanced age... She was upset as she could not do anything for her sons when they were in their economic crisis. She asked for help from her friends but none of them were willing to help, instead they 'channelize' ? her to beg for money by saying they can't afford to give her fish but they can teach her how to fish to survive... Due to her friends' channelization, she was caught by the police and taken to the police station. I held my tears when I saw this part especially when the sons blamed her for disgracing them~

There is one more scene that I couldn't control my tears rolling in my eyes~ The three sons and daughter-in-laws were too stingy over the expenditure needed to on hire a maid to take care of the mother so they ended up deciding to take turns to look after the bed-ridden mother. Sons then made lots of complains without thinking who changed their diapers with even stinking poops in it? Only the elder brother had taken good care of the mother but the other two placed the mother at a vacant spot outside the toilet and one even placed the mother IN the toilet with food being served there~ This is just a movie but I won't be shocked if I were to hear about this in reality! That's kinda sad, huh?

My tears dropped when Ah Hui (elder son) sent his mother off to the old folks home even though the unendurable pain struck him badly when he was running away. That scene is super touching especially when the mother asked the nurse whether it is an old folks home and beseeching Ah Hui not to abandon her and she collapsed eventually...
I remember that the final part that moved me to tears was the part where the mother removed her respirator when she was a little conscious after coma for days. She saw everyone were extremely worried about Ah Keong's daughter who was involve in an accident and needed O- blood for transfusion transfusion which was also needed by the mother~ Ah Keong was in a confusion on who the blood should be given to. To solve Ah Keong's life dilemma, she decided to take in her last breath and sacrifice herself again to saved her granddaughter's life~ The scene of the mother lying on the bed reminded me on my grandmother as I was there with her when she was admitted into ICU years back in exactly the same situation as how the mother is with the tears rolling down from the eyes...

Thank you Carol for choosing this movie! Sim Yin and Huey Jiun's accompaniment is very much appreciated too! I really had a good time with you girls today~ A big hug and kisses for you all!

  2. Is it a good movie to be watched? Hmm, I think of you find your tears gland is blocking, that is quite a good movie to helps unblocking it~ Hahaa^^

Stages of watching 'Money No Enough 2':
First stage, eyes blurred and brimming by tears, then traces of tears appear, lastly, tears falling down abundantly like rain~

I think I am made by tears and having molecules of tears to be dropped~ Haa~ That movie might not as touching as I mentioned... No harm watching it~ At least it is reflecting our society nowadays... Don't forget to share your review after watching yea!
